Harmony 1.0 FreeRTOS example: Configurator specifies NO RTOS yet the example works (Paul Bjork)

I'm using the CDC dual comm port Harmony example in the FreeRTOS folder. The Harmony configurator shows that OSAL is used as required, but NONE is selected under RTOS type. There is a FreeRTOSConfig.h file in the system_config folder, but no source files ..
